We’re Aptillon; a new breed of consulting company. We’re SharePoint, we’re Windows Phone, and we’re solving business problems with Microsoft technology. We focus on SharePoint based solutions, but as you know, SharePoint touches a lot of different business areas and so do we. We have a comfort with what we do; a comfort that comes from familiarity and deep knowledge. That comfort lets us work more efficiently and faster to deliver results for our clients. It lets us cut through the hype of technology and solve real business problems.
We’re six Microsoft-focused professionals at our core, surrounded by an army of like-minded generalists and specialists all focused on getting the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Our Principals
Todd Baginski, 6yr SharePoint MVP
Todd is a founder and director at Aptillon, Inc. and six-time Microsoft SharePoint Most Valuable Professional who uses SharePoint, Silverlight, Office, Windows Phone 7, Azure, and .NET technologies to create web sites and custom solutions. Todd is the content author and presenter for the BCS portion of the SharePoint MCM program and a regular speaker at the TechEd, SharePoint Connections, and Microsoft SharePoint conferences.
Darrin Bishop, 7yr SharePoint MVP
Darrin is a founder, director and the Treasurer at Aptillon, Inc. and a SharePoint MVP and has been involved in SharePoint since 2001 when the code-named product Tahoe was released as SharePoint Portal Server 2001. Darrin has a diverse background in SharePoint and has covered the product lifecycle from envisioning, design, installation, development, customizations and even administering farms. Recently Darrin has been working with the Windows Phone 7 platform and Azure. He has been focusing on the integration of the platforms with SharePoint 2010. Gary Lapointe, 5yr SharePoint MVP
Gary is a founder and director at Aptillon, Inc. and a SharePoint MVP who has been planning and implementing SharePoint solutions since early 2007. A developer by trade, Gary spends most of his spare time developing tools that enable IT professionals to be more productive so that they can focus on solving business problems and satisfying their customers’ needs. David Mann, 4yr SharePoint MVP
Dave is a founder, director, and the Secretary at Aptillon, Inc., a four-time SharePoint MVP and a part time trainer for Critical Path Training. As a developer, software architect, author and trainer he has focused on Microsoft’s Information Worker and Collaboration stack, working with portal, collaboration, and content management technologies for over 15 years helping businesses to be more productive. Dave presents regularly at major and minor conferences and runs the SharePoint User Group in Philadelphia
Matthew McDermott, 6yr SharePoint MVP
Matthew is a founder, director, and the Vice President at Aptillon, Inc, a six-time Microsoft SharePoint Server MVP and part time trainer for Critical Path Training. Matthew specializes in SharePoint Integration, Strategy and Implementation Consulting helping his clients solve business problems with SharePoint. Matthew is a content author, blogger and specialist in SharePoint technologies focused on web content management, collaboration, search and social computing.
Matthew’s free time is spent as a canine handler for K9 Search • Austin, a volunteer K9 search team serving the FBI and Austin & San Antonio Police Departments. An accomplished cook and bartender, in his spare time Matt spends as much time with his wife as his dogs will allow.
Maurice Prather, Microsoft Certified Master 2010 and 2007
Maurice is a founder, director, and the President at Aptillon, Inc. Maurice is a Microsoft Certified Master in both SharePoint 2010 and 2007 and has also been awarded Microsoft's MVP status for 5 years running. He has worked with the SharePoint platform for over 10 years. Maurice is a regular speaker at major national and international conferences and has written many training courses, including the PowerPivot and PerformancePoint segments of the SharePoint MCM program. As a systems architect, developer and trainer, Maurice has helped companies of all sizes reach their objectives while ensuring their platforms are stable, secure and manageable.
