Aptillon is owned by technology experts with years of real-world, hands-on experience. Together, they formed Aptillon to create a one-of-a-kind consulting service to bring high-quality, reliable consulting to their clients. Originally focused on Microsoft SharePoint, Aptillon expertise has expanded, and now includes web-based applications, SharePoint design or integration, Power BI, strategic data consulting, data warehousing, technology integration, IoT projects, software package development and other technology solutions. Just as technology and client needs are always changing, Aptillon is changing — to provide relevant and leading-edge technology solutions.
Aptillon History
Before Aptillon, the owners knew each other from the SharePoint community. They frequently spoke at the same conferences, collaborated to solve issues, and wrote books, articles and blogs. All shared the same background. They wanted to create a consulting company that focused on and provided deep expertise with SharePoint. Their goals were:
To provide high-level service to clients without needing to supplement with junior-level “SharePoint” developers.
To be honest with clients about the quality and level of experience of the people working on their projects.
To not have to do a “sales pitch” to win new clients.
To work together and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their clients.
From those ideals, Aptillon was formed.
A Foundation in SharePoint and SharePoint-Related Solutions
Aptillon initially focused on SharePoint, and the result of this focus was that the owners of Aptillon have all been multi-year SharePoint MVP awardees as well as MCMs. Sharing their expertise, they were and are speakers, bloggers, and authors as well as consultants. However, those projects also took the owners in new directions, supporting core infrastructure and integration with external business systems and business processes. Working to meet clients’ needs, they realized their clients needed expert services beyond SharePoint.
Changing Client Needs; Expanded Aptillon Expertise
To meet those needs, they expanded their consulting expertise into new areas that reflect the individual interests of and build on the strengths of each owner. Clients receive the same expert-level services in areas such as data warehousing, web development, and core infrastructure. When a client works with Aptillon, they benefit from access to all Aptillon resources and their connections with other experts in the technical community, SharePoint and beyond.

Aptillon President Maurice Prather provides custom programming, engineering software packages, technology integration using a variety of technology, including SharePoint, the .NET platform, SQL server deployments, Azure, managing IaaS, Internet of Things (IoT) projects, small board computers (SBC), small circuits, C++ programming, and creating software packages used across different platforms (Linux, MacOS, and Windows) and offered in 3 languages (C#, C++, and C).

Aptillon Delivers Solutions Honestly and Transparently
Aptillon is not your typical consulting company. You will speak with the owners, and it is the owners who do the work. You will not find Aptillon scouring the job boards looking for bodies to fill positions. For larger projects or to fill specific expertise gaps, Aptillon will, on occasion, utilize trusted non-Aptillon resources. Aptillon has known these individuals for a long time and trusts them to provide the same high-quality service expected from an Aptillon resource. Clients will always know when a resource is a trusted non-Aptillon resource. Aptillon has a strict agreement with external resources never to appear as though the resource is an employee of Aptillon but as a trusted partner. Aptillon strongly believes in honest relationships with our clients.
