Microsoft has recently released the SharePoint Framework, a page and web part model, for use by first-release tenants. The SharePoint Framework will be able to provide a more productive experience for developers through client-side SharePoint development, easy integration with SharePoint data, and support for open source tooling. It will allow for current web technologies to be used in virtually any development environment thereby facilitating the development and deployment of SharePoint modern web parts in a familiar and efficient manner.
Todd, Matt and I have been working with SharePoint and Windows Phone 7 a lot lately. There are a lot of great scenarios for connecting Windows Phone 7 to your SharePoint farm. The phone platform provides a great reach scenario for many SharePoint applications. Unfortunately Windows Phone 7 does not support NTLM in custom development scenario and that is the most common authentication scenario we run into with SharePoint farms.
